Charles A. Eggleston, 91 of Weedsport passed away Wednesday September 6, 2017 at The Commons on St. Anthony.
The son of the late John and Grace Dix Eggleston, Charles was born in The Town of Tompkins on September 23, 1925.
He proudly served his country with the US Navy during the Second World War. He had been employed as a Setup Technician for over 33 years, with Chrysler Corporation of Syracuse. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed both hunting and fishing, as well
as golf and bowling.
Charles is survived by his wife of 61 years, whom he enjoyed wintering with in Florida, Winifred Strobel Eggleston, his daughter Sheena Miller of Weedsport and his son, Alan Eggleston and his wife Lori of Elbridge, his daughter Sharon Mcilhenney his daughter Connie and her husband Jerome Kupris and his grandchildren, Alison Hall, Jessica Miller, Renee Eggleston, Kevin McIlhenney, Scott Myers, and Bernie Empie, Great -grandchildren Austin Hall Aidan Littebrant, Avery Littebrant, Jessica and Shannon Mcilhenney, Troy and Mackenzie Myers, and Connor and Gwendolyn Empie.
a brother Alfred and his wife Lollie Signor of Inverness, Florida.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Eggleston was predeceased by his step-father, Ken Signor two daughters, Bonnie Meyers Harelick, Charlene Empie Anthony and three sisters, Lillian Lesky, Alice VanDusen, and Mary Fagan a step sister, Julia Signor.
Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held Saturday in White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive Weedsport.
Friends are invited to call on the family from 12 pm to 2 pm prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions  in memory of Mr. Eggleston may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Central NY Chapter, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse NY 13201.
