David Lawson Obituary

David W. Lawson, 94, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Newark Hospital. Mr. Lawson was born in Batavia, NY on October 6, 1929, to the late Joseph and Ruth Smith Lawson. He graduated from Cornell University and proudly served our country with the United States Army from 1955-1957. In 1996, David retired from United States Department of Agriculture, where he was an Emergency Preparedness Specialist.

David is survived by his children, David (Lisa) Lawson Jr., Stephen (Kay) Lawson, Timothy (Gail) Lawson, Joseph Lawson, and Kristine (Richard) Sugden; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; the mother of his children, Sylvia Found Hagerman; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by two wives Suzanne Thrasher Lawson and Francis Osbourne Lawson; and his sister Janet Acker Cromwell.
