Elizabeth "Betty Ann" Colvin, 92, of Auburn passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones on April 20, 2024. Born in Auburn on May 9, 1931, Betty was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine (Felli) Calisprone. Loved all her life by everyone who knew her, Betty held jobs at General Electric, Red Star, New York Telephone and was a store owner, all while raising five sons. She is survived by four of those sons, Tom, Steven, William (Carol) and James, her grandchildren, Michael (Lucia), Ally, Carly (Adam) and Jason, along with her great grandchildren Gio, Ruby, Violet, Aiden, Luci, Emma and Max. Also, many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Betty was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Vern, and her loving son John. Also, siblings Mary Sargent, “Gigi” Castiglione, Connie Dougherty, “Ga” Calisprone and Joe Calisprone.
Among many memories, Aunt Betty and Uncle Vern's famous Thanksgivings, complete with logs crackling in the fireplaces, static shock wars from orange and red shag carpets, turkey, stuffing, pies, football games on the big screen tv in the dark paneled family room with everyone sitting on the big overstuffed couches and in the kitchen and dining rooms, firmly and lovingly became a family tradition passed down by their future generation of nieces and nephew to this day.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 27 at noon in Sacred Heart Church. Friends are welcome to visit with the family prior to mass from 10am to 12pm in church. Interment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
