Marion G. Hartman, 88, formerly of Perrine Street, Auburn, NY passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024 in Pontiac Nursing Home, Oswego. A native of Baltimore until 2019, she was born December 10, 1935, the daughter of the late Howard and Marion Dunlop Green. Marion worked for many years as a waitress in Baltimore and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed making crab cakes, consuming sweets such as chocolate, milkshakes, and especially donuts. She loved listening to music and would often sing her favorite song by Frank Sinatra “Love and Marriage.” While living in Auburn, she enjoyed going to Choices for Change, a social day program for individuals.
Marion was a tireless caregiver most of her life. She will continue to help others as she was donated to the Anatomical Gift Program at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
Surviving are her sons James Hartman and his wife Margaret of Auburn and David Hartman and his wife Kathy of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Jessa, Jimmy, Karley Hartman, and Lisa (Mike) and Holly (John); Great grandchildren, Haven, Johnny and Grant; her niece Darlene; and especially her companion “Baby” Bear.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Joseph Hartman Sr.; one son Joseph; brothers, Donald, David and Hardy; and one sister Betty.
A celebration of life will be held at the Vineyard Church, 99 Wall St, Auburn, NY, May 11, 2024, 1-3 PM. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St., Auburn, NY.
