Amy Lynne (DeChick) LaShomb, 38, of Auburn gained her wings on Saturday, September 8, 2018. The Lord, having looked down and feeling as though she had suffered enough, made all of her demons go away, and brought her home to live in eternal peace.
As a child, it was obvious to those around her, Amy had a gift. Her ability to light up a room and to find the silver lining in almost any situation was second to none. Her contagious toothy smile and spirt radiated not only upon herself, but to everyone she encountered. She loved and sacrificed for others to no avail and her work ethic was like no other. These traits carried her proudly into adulthood.
These attributes were truly evident to those who encountered her out in the community. Amy had worked in food service since she was in high school and she took great pride in serving those around her, making sure they received service with a smile and nothing but the best. Amy’s passion was always about helping someone else, whether it was friends, family or complete strangers. Her work history included KFC, Taco Bell, Applebees, Denny’s and recently McDonalds.
She will be greatly missed by all and this void will never be filled.
Amy is survived by her parents, Bill And Cindy DeChick, brother Scott and his wife Brenda, the light of her life-nephew and niece Christopher and Angela; uncles Kim and Kevin (Joanie) DeChick, and cousins Karen, Sean, Jacob and Kaitlyn.
Amy is predeceased by her daughter, Alexis and her grandparents, Carmen and Ann DeChick.
For those who would like to remember the best of Amy, calling hours will be Friday, Sept 14, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 at White Chapel Funeral Home Inc, 197 South St, Auburn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Sept 15 at 10:00 in St. Mary’s Church, Auburn.
In memory of Amy, take a moment and pay it forward to someone in the community. Put a smile on someone’s face, like she did every day.
