Anne Thurber Obituary

Anne M. Thurber, 80, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2019, at The Commons on St. Anthony.

Born in Auburn on April 12, 1938, Anne was the daughter of the late James and Helen Morrisey Mullally.  She returned to Auburn after spending 20 years residing in Georgia.  Anne took great pleasure in entertaining and cooking for friends and family.  She thoroughly enjoyed life and spending time with people she loved.

Anne is survived by her daughter, Reenie (Richard Simmonds) Brown; her son, James Vliet; her grandchildren, Kari and Jamie Brown and their father, Barry Brown, with whom she remained close with, Christopher and Chadwick Halse, and Rachael and James Vliet; several great-grandchildren; her sisters, Patti (Boyd) Foster, Karen (Jimmy) Nangle, and Kathy Jackman, and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Anne was predeceased by her sister, Peggy Tonzi.

There will be no calling hours or services.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the caregivers at Restmore, The Home, and The Commons on St. Anthony for the wonderful care they provided Anne throughout her journey.

Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., Auburn.
