Charles A. Sanders, 76, of Fosterville and Weedsport, passed away at Auburn Community Hospital on May 5, 2019. Charles was born in Auburn on May 19, 1942 to the late Frank and Lois Pinckney Sanders. He proudly served our Country while in the Army from 1964-1968. Chuck was known for his sense of humor. He enjoyed playing cards, loved children and had a way with animals. Chuck worked most of his life in the construction business and most recently was employed by Lowes in Auburn.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Shirley Joseph Sanders, his daughter, Charlene (Mark) Emmett, his step daughters, Valerie (Tom) Short and Leicia (Kevin) Brown, his brother, David (Debra), his sisters, Mary Dugan and Jean Padolak, his eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Chuck was predeceased by his son, Charles Scott, his sisters, Dorothy and Myrna and his brothers, Robbie and Eddie.
There will be no calling hours or services. Family and friends are welcome to join together at Arnolds Family Restaurant on Monday May 13th from 4:00-6:00 pm for refreshments and to share fond memories. Donations in Chucks name may be made to the Weedsport or Jordan Ambulance. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home, Weedsport.
