Clifford L. Hickok Jr.

December 18, 1935 ~ January 18, 2019 (age 83)

Clifford L. Hickok Jr. 83, of Daisy Lane Weedsport, passed away Friday January 18, 2019 at the Commons on St. Anthony, Auburn.Born December 18, 1935 in Ithaca, Clifford was the son of the late Clifford L. Hickok Sr. and Blanche Wolcot Hickok.He retired from the New York State Thruway Authority where he had been employed for over 40 years. He was active with the Weedsport Volunteer Fire Department for over 24 years, earning him the title of Life Member. During his time with the department he served as an Assistant Chief as well as Chief of the Department. While living in Florida for 14 years, he was involved with the Navy Seabees Veteran’s Ass. Auxiliary, and he was a fan of SU sports.Clifford is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn Staples Hickok, a daughter, Holly (Nelson) Dumas of Jordan, four sons, Kevin (Susan) Hickok of Port Byron, Clifford “Butch” (Daureen) Hickok of Syracuse, Jeffrey (Amy) Hickok of Weedsport, and Corey (Noelle) Hickok of Liverpool, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, a brother Leland “Sonny” Hickok of AZ..                                                                                Mr. Hickok was predeceased by a sister Lois Hart.                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 6pm in White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Dr. Weedsport. Friends are invited to call on the family Thursday from 4-6 prior to services at White Chapel.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Clifford L, Hickok Jr. may be made to the Weedsport Volunteer Fire Department.
