Eleanor A. Monroe, 93, of Summerfield Village and formerly of Blackmore Drive, Camillus died on Monday at The Commons on St. Anthony in Auburn following a brief illness. Eleanor was the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna Ryan and one of seven siblings growing up on a farm in Sennett. She worked many years for GE in Syracuse where she met her husband, Fred. Upon retiring they traveled extensively throughout the states in their mobile home, making many friends along the way. Eleanor and Fred enjoyed square dancing together and traveling to participate in many dances For the last 20 years they spent their winters at their winter home in Bradenton, FL. Eleanor is survived by her husband, Fred, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Marion, Arthur, Jack, Bill, Emmett and Dick along with her niece Kathy and Nephew Billy. A funeral service will be held privately for family members on Thursday April 11 at 11 am in White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St. Auburn. Burial to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Auburn.
