Eva Rosekrans

Eva Irene (Raner) Rosekrans, 81, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.  She is finally reunited with her lifelong love and best friend, Burton Buel Rosekrans, whom she had been missing deeply for 20 years.

Eva spent most of her childhood in Moravia, and ironically enough, life brought her back there, enjoying her last chapter at Millstream Court, where she made many friends.

She loved going to bingo and was very talented at knitting, crocheting, and other crafts.  She loved making one of a kind keepsakes for her family and friends.  Eva’s family meant the world to her; she loved them with all of her heart and was a big part of all of their lives.

She is survived by her children, Justin (Anita Bryan) Rosekrans, Laurie (Robert Perkins Jr.) Rosekrans Collins, Kenneth (Melissa Hillard) Rosekrans, Michael (Donna Spaulding) Rosekrans, Matthew (Susan Spaulding) Rosekrans, Lisa (Harry Green Jr.) Rosekrans Green, and Lewis “Hank” (Suzanne Hosford) Rosekrans; her beloved 27 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Burton Rosekrans, Eva was predeceased by her parents, Herman Raner and Irene Prindle Copp; stepfather, Donald Copp, and her brothers, Donald and Garry Raner.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St., Auburn.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 26, at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Owasco Rural Cemetery.
