George Bray

Weedsport- George R. Bray passed away on July 29, 2019 at the age of 98, at the Commons on St. Anthony. George was born on Dec. 25, 1920 to Dwight and Mildred Bray in New Haven, Conn. He was a proud Marine Corps veteran, having served during World War II. He was a sports enthusiast; he enjoyed playing ice hockey and baseball and was a die-hard NY Yankee fan. He is survived by his five children; Susan, George Jr., Dwight, Peter and Lydia; his brother, Harvey Bray; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. George was predeceased by his parents, Dwight and Mildred; brothers, Ross and Charles Dana; and his wife, Doris. The family wishes to express gratitude and thanks to the staff on the 4th floor of the Commons for the care and friendship the gave to George during his long illness. Per George’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home, Weedsport.
