Goldie (Bovee) Sweeney

Goldie Bovee Sweeney, 43, of Auburn was born October 9, 1974, died, May 13, 2018 and was reunited with her loving husband, Patrick Sweeney. She was the daughter of Carol Laird of Auburn and Paul Bovee of Florida. Mother to  Patrick Sweeney and Nyomi Sweeney, her children whom she loved so very much. They were her entire world. Goldie is survived by her siblings, Connie (Jeremy) Liddle, Loretta (Steve) Bovee, Paul (Heidi) Bovee, Adeline Bovee Gunger, Josh Bovee, Sandy (Tim) Dudley and special friend, Ralph Parsons.
Goldie was a precious rose in the garden of love. She was a "Gypsy lover" of all souls, always welcoming anyone who needed an ear, a meal, or just a song. Goldie was a "true" musician, who sang, wrote songs and played flat top guitar. Her music reflected her love for her family, never forgetting the husband whom she loved and missed so dearly
Goldie has a very large extended family, including several nieces and nephews with whom she spent many hours with. Aunt G will be missed by all of her family, but never forgotten. She was a shining star to all who knew her.
Goldie had an abundant amount of friends. She lit up the room wherever she went. Always smiling and letting the world know that she was here and if you didn't like it you better learn to love it, cause it's the best thing happening today!
Calling hours for Goldie will be held on Friday, May 18, from 4-6 pm at White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South St, Auburn. A gathering for friends and family will be held at 6:30 pm at the Sicz Club, 145 Washington St., Auburn, following calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at Lakeview Cemetery in Cayuga at 11 am.
