Harry J. Polifroni, 80, of Auburn passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Syracuse VA Medical Center. Harry was born in Syracuse on January 6, 1938. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam War. Harry was very proud of his military service and his country. He later worked several jobs, at ALCO, the Auburn Post Office and the Cayuga Home for Children.
Harry is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Shirley, his step-children Lanie and Ken (Don), 2 grandchildren, his siblings, Tony Mesiano, Mary Poirer and Archie (Linda) Clum.
Harry was predeceased by his mother Francesca Polifroni Clum and his siblings, Anna and Richard.
Calling hours will be held Monday, May 14, from 4-7 PM at the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St, Auburn. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Cemetery (south of the mausoleum).
