Helen J Reisman

Helen J. Reisman, 74, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at Auburn Nursing Home. Born on May 15, 1944, in North Rose, NY, she was the daughter  of the late Charles and Marie Wilkinson Riggs. Mrs. Reisman was a lifelong resident of Weedsport, and was the owner of Riggs Veterans Home, in Weedsport.

Helen was a loving, caring, selfless women, who continuously put the needs of others ahead of her own. She always took care of her family and the many other children in the neighborhood. She truly made this world a better place and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children whom she loved dearly, Constance Winkler, Lorrie (Gene) Schiefer, Randy (Peg) Cole, Sandra (Bill) Squires, Joe (Cindy) Cole and Craig (Kim) Reisman, Margaret (Mike) Guarino; her step children Gary (Debbie) Reisman, Becky (Dave) Fox and Jeanie Bowman; she had over 65 grandchildren and great grandchildren that she cherished spending time with; her  three sisters, Betty Mary and Trudy and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Reisman.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 4-6 pm at White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Dr. Weedsport. Funeral Services will be Friday, 11am at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date.
