Judith B. (Bunt) Slauson

Weedsport—Judith Nancy Bunt Slauson, 81, passed away November 6 surrounded by her family at Auburn Memorial Hospital.
Judy was a graduate of Middleburgh High School and New York State College for Teachers at Albany.  Trained as a mathematics teacher, Judy taught for a short time, but soon dedicated her life to taking care of her family.  Judy also helped to manage Weedsport Napa, a family-owned business with her husband John and son Matt.
Judy had many hobbies and talents which included making stained glass, sewing, knitting, and creating various artistic projects.  She loved seeing local music and theater productions both at Weedsport High School and the Merry-Go-Round Theater.  In addition, Judy played bridge every week with a group of close friends.  
She is  survived by her children: Mark (Ann) Slauson of Copperopolis,CA;  Matthew (Joanne) Slauson of Auburn, NY;  Michael Slauson of Weedsport, NY;  Erika (Jonathan) Stewart of Ft. Pierce, Florida; Nancy (Christopher) Irwin of Auburn, IN; and John (Tammy) Slauson of Dallas, TX.  Judy is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren: Jennifer Braun, Nicole Mead, Kyle Sanborn, Taylor Sanborn, Adam Irwin, Matthew Irwin, Kristyn Slauson, Ryan Slauson, Claire Sanborn, Lillian Sanborn, Staten Squier, and Silas Squier.
A celebration of life for friends and family will be planned later this summer.
