Mary E. Rejman Kulis, 91, of Venice Center passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 peacefully at home. Mary was born on January 25, 1927, on a farm in Venice Center; the daughter of the late Peter and Katarzina Brezden Rejman. She was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Stanley J. Kulis Sr. Mary was a communicant of St. Hyacinth’s Church in Auburn. She worked by Stanley’s side in helping to renovate and revitalize the Pavilion in Venice Center and her half and half cookies were always the first to go at the chicken barbeques.
Mary will be remembered for her love of Syracuse University’s basketball team and working in her flower gardens. She loved to bake and would always have fresh-baked goodies whenever you went to visit. Her pierogis at the family’s Christmas gatherings will be missed.
She is survived by her 10 children, Patricia (Dudley) of Genoa, Ronald (Betsy) of Venice Center, Stanley J. (Dale) of Locke, Carol of San Diego, CA, Steven (Cindy) of Genoa, Donald (Shelly) of Venice Center, Jeffrey (Irene) of Venice Center, Gary (Susan) of Sherburne, Dennis (Mark) of Chittenango, and Michelle (Dave) of Poplar Ridge; 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
Mary was also predeceased by her grandson, Derek Kulis, her sister, Stella Bryla and her brothers John, Stanley, Hank, James and Anthony Rejman.
A private service is being arranged with the White Chapel Funeral Home, Inc., 197 South St., Auburn.
