Richard V. Fraher II, of Auburn, passed away following a prolonged illness on Jan. 4, 2019 in the comfort of his own home. Richard was born in Auburn on Sept. 20, 1950, the son of the late Richard V. Fraher and Doris Laxton Fraher.
Richard served honorably in the US. S. Air Force and was a member of The Eagles Club in Auburn. He enjoyed watching the History Channel, listening to music, and rooting for The Yankees.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lorraine Allen Fraher; his siblings, Irene Rindfleisch (Andreas), Marylou Morgan, William Fraher (Lori); his children, Matthew Fraher (Jennifer), Amanda Fraher, Sara Fraher Smith (Mark), Jessica Fraher; his grandchildren, Austin and Ellie Fraher and his mother-in-law, Isabelle Dodimead.
He is predeceased by his parents; his older brother, Daniel Fraher and his first wife, Patricia Mellin Fraher.
A memorial service will take place 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at White Chapel Funeral Home. 197 South Street, Auburn.
