Robert Williams

Radiomen Robert G. Williams passed away peacefully after a long illness on May 26 2019. He was surrounded by loving family. Bob served 22 years in the United States Navy. He was a life member of the American Legion. His proudest accomplishments include his distinguished softball career which spanned 30 plus years. He played, officiated and was selected to represent the All Navy team on multiple occasions during his military career. In addition to playing, he was an umpire for High School and College women in which he took great pride. Bob was also very proud of his family and considered them his greatest accomplishment. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Mary Jean, daughters Terri (Mark) Rothfuss of Rochester, Wendy (Peter) Berry of Albany and four grandchildren Timothy Hinman Jr. (Sarah), Jason and Michael Berry of Albany and Nicole Rothfuss of Rochester NY , twin brother Richard Williams of Auburn, NY and several nieces and nephews. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday May 29th from 4 to 7 PM at White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Dr., Weedsport. Funeral Services will be held at 11am the following day at White Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will be in Weedsport Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Weedsport Volunteer Fire Department or the Jordan-Weedsport Ambulance.
