Rose L. (Smith) Cole

Rose L. Cole, 91, of Cato, passed away at her home on May 26, 2019. Born in Victory on December 16, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary McDermott Smith. Rose was employed at Lincoln Bank in Cato for over 30 years, retiring as assistant manager. She enjoyed reading and word search puzzles. Rose is survived by her daughter, Sandi Bass, her sons, Gary (Charmaine) Cole and Mark (Kim) Cole, her grandchildren, Ricky, David, Bridget, Bryan, Matt, Steve and Drew , nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Rose was predeceased by her husband, Robert Cole in 1992 and her siblings, Francis Smith, Edward Smith, Ruth Sheldon, Margaret Wilkenson, Thelma McDowell, Mae Menzies and Mary Baldwin. Calling hours for Rose will be held on Sunday, June 2 from 12-2 pm in White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 2 pm. Interment will be in Lysander Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Finger Lakes, 1130 Corporate Drive, Auburn, NY 13021.
