William Karlik Obituary

William H. Karlik, 91, of Murray St., Auburn passed away peacefully, with his family  by his side on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Auburn Community Hospital.  He was born in Skaneateles on November
7, 1926,  the son of the late Stephen Karlik Sr., who was a native of Czechoslovakia,  and Elizabeth (Kubica) Karlik.  William served in the Merchant Marines and the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He retired from Cayuga Community College, where he was employed as a custodian.  William was a honorary lifetime member of the Cayuga County Sportsman Club.  William “Bill” was loved by his care takers and everyone who knew him.  He especially loved to go out to eat at Ann’s restaurant.  Bill was always good for a smile.  
He is survived by his loving and devoted family, his son Daniel Karlik and his wife Dale, grandchildren, Hilary and Danny Karlik, their mother Laurie Karlik, Dana & Nicole Moose, Brandon & Alesha Look, his great-grandchildren, Warren, Dominic , Gavin, Allison, Evan and Emily.
There will be no services. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of William Karlik, may send them to:  Cayuga County Sportsman Association, 4680 Rockefeller Road, Auburn NY 13021.
