AUBURN - Carole A. (English) Grant Kilmer, of Auburn, passed away at her home on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, with her family by her side. Carole was born in Syracuse on July 22, 1936, the daughter of the late Edward and Elene Checksfield English. She was employed for 25 years with Auburn Memorial Hospital, as a clerk aide. Carole loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Wendy Weisbrod, Lori (Ron) White, Pamela Bond (Joe Baum), Loren (Wendy) Grant, Shelly Kilmer Juhl and Timothy Kilmer; her grandchildren Teressa, Billy, Gina, TJ, Shanon, Jenilee, Jeffrey, Ryan, Nick, Nathan, Heather, Josh, Brianna, Devin, Tyler, Miranda, Shelby; their spouses; 19 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Edward and David English; her sister Cynthia Barrigar; and many nieces and nephews. Carole had many close friends whom called her "Mom" and was known to everyone for her baking.

In addition to her parents, Carole was predeceased by her husband LeRoy Kilmer Jr., her son Scott Grant, her sister Rosalie Smith, stepdaughter Christine Webster and stepson Nick Kilmer.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11 at the White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Dr., Weedsport. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Port Byron. Friends may visit with Carole's family from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10 at the funeral home.
