Carolyn M. Erving
Our wife, mother, memaw, and GG died Thursday, October 04, 2018 at her home in NC.

Carolyn was born December 31, 1940 to the late Tom and Addie (Canavan) Farrell. She married her husband Jack on October 11, 1958. She said he was "the best and only one for me" and wouldn't change anything about their 60 year marriage.

Carolyn had four children who she adored. Her greatest sadness was the death of her son Jack Jr., at the age of 10. Surviving children are daughter, Tammi and husband Tim; daughter, Terri and husband Bobby; son, Tom and wife Kirsten. The light of her life were her grandchildren Whitney, BJ, Madison and Catelyn. Great grandson Johnny gave her a new joy. Her cousin Shirley was her sister in every sense of the word.
A memorial mass will be held at St.Alphonsus Catholic Church on Monday, October 11, 2018 at noon. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fleming. Tammi, Terri, Tom, and entire Erving family. Growing up, I spent many days at the Erving household (with Tammi). Mr. and Mrs. Erving were always so generous and their door was always open to their children's friends. My memories of Mrs. Erving are of kindness and humor. How fortunate you all are to have years of wonderful memories to remember her by and keep her alive in your hearts forever. Sending strength, love, and prayers to all of your during this difficult time. xoxo
