Alice W. Kolczynski, 85, of Phippsburg, Maine and formerly of Auburn passed away on March 12, 2026. Mrs. Kolczynski was born in Arlington, MA on February 5, 1941, to the late Minot and Ilene Neas Percy.
Alice proudly served our country with United States AirForce as a surgical nurse from 1962-1963. She was a devoted RN for 35 years at Auburn Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of the Popham Circle Ladies Group, the America Legion Post 216 in Maine and was a communicant of St. Mary's church for many years, prior to moving.
Alice along with her husband, Chester enjoyed Modern Square Dance and Round Dancing. She was very talented at crafting, especially her lobster mermaids. Her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her beautiful family.
Alice is survived by her loving husband, Chester, of 62 years, her children; Joseph Kolczynski, Lisa (David) Rouse, James Kolczynski, and Nina Kolczynski; her grandchildren; Katrina (Shaun) Garrigan, Samantha Kolczynski (Brandon Garrigan), Christopher (Amy) Rouse, Caitlyn (Keagan) Kolczynski, Gaelon Kolczynski, Jordan (Caitlyn) Young, and Ian Kolczynski; five great grandchildren with one on the way, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Alice was predeceased by her three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 19th from 4-8pm at White Chapel Funeral Home Inc. 197 South St. Auburn. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am on Friday, March 20th in St. Mary's Church 15 Clark St. Auburn. Interment to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Auburn Community Hospital. With writing Alice’s name in the memo these donations will go towards nurse's week.
