Ann M. Foley of Auburn, NY passed away on June 25, 2026, in the comfort of her home, with her family by her side. Ann was born on January 15, 1935, to Dr. Russell and Pat (Tecla) Nolan.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Ronald P. Foley.
She is survived by her three children and their families. Peter (Christina), Patricia (John) and Mary (Stephen), her four grandchildren, Gregory (Amanda), Leigh (Kevin), Nicholas and Natalie (Mitchell), five great grandchildren, Rose and Graham Downing, Ross and Lou Ringwood, and Sullivan Schafer, as well as her brother Jerry (Joan) Nolan and several nieces and nephews.
Ann graduated from East High School and went on to Nazareth College to receive her bachelor’s degree. She continued on to receive her master’s degree in education from Cortland State and taught in the parochial school system for several years. Much later in life Ann returned to Cayuga Community College to receive her Nursing degree. A lifelong dream.
Ann spent the majority of her nursing career working at Mercy Rehabilitation Center, where her excellent diagnostic skills combined with her sincere empathy made any patient blessed to receive her care. Ann was fondly known for her quirky sense of humor and quick wit.
She found great joy in the companionship of her beloved animals, notably Earl, Felicia, Mammie, and Kitty Baby all which we believe understood a remarkably extensive vocabulary.
During Ann’s last years she was very well taken care of by a team of amazing caregivers. Ann and her family will be forever grateful to Barb, Patty, Candy, Pierette, Sharon, Joyce and Shar.
