Anthony F. Tardibone

Anthony F. Tardibone 89, of Auburn, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 21, 2023 at his home. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Walters Tardibone, with whom he was married for 63 wonderful years after meeting at the Sunset Restaurant, where they shared many date nights. In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children: Frank (Kim), Laurie Fuoco (Dave), Suzy Morgan (Paul), Tony (Bebe), Darlene Sylvester and Steve (Colleen); 13 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his surviving siblings, Josephine, Mary, Mike, Francis, Johnny, Angie, and Joey. 

In addition to his parents Frank and Angelina Ignazito Tardibone, he is predeceased by his brother Benny.

Anthony proudly served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and following his discharge, was employed as an insurance salesman. After his retirement, he opened his own car dealership with his son called Tony's Auto Sales. He also owned Close & Brady's Diner with his son and daughter. Anthony was well known and loved by so many people because of his friendly, witty and outgoing personality.

Friends are invited to join the family for a service to be offered Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 12:00 pm in the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours for Anthony will be conducted from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, prior to the service, in the funeral home.
