Bernard C Smith Jr.

Bernard C. Smith Jr., 63 of Auburn, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Auburn Community Hospital. Mr. Smith was born in Auburn, NY on October 31, 1962. 

He was employed with NYS Department of Corrections for 30 years.

Bernie loved spending time with his family on the land he owned with his father, riding his tractor and his 4-wheeler. He also enjoyed playing fast pitch and slow pitch softball as well as hunting.

Bernie is survived by his children, Bradley (Lynsey) Smith and Angela Smith; the mother of his children, Diana Smith; his mother, Sharon Smith; his siblings Bethany (Jamie) Jefferds, David Smith and Brian (Jennifer) Smith; and his grandchildren, Kenny, Lillian and Ryver. 

He was predeceased by his father, Bernard Smith Sr., as well as several aunts and uncles. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 10am - noon at White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Dr. Weedsport.
