Bonnie (Ryan) Meyer

Bonnie Meyer, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated nurse, passed away on September 17, 2024.  She was the daughter of Liz and Bucky Ryan, of Owasco, NY.  Bonnie graduated from Skaneateles High School and went on to earn her nursing degree from Cayuga Community College.

For over two decades, Bonnie devoted herself to the nursing profession, serving at Community General Hospital and Auburn Community Hospital.  Her compassionate care and unwavering dedication made a profound impact on her patients and colleagues alike, earning her the respect and admiration of many.

Bonnie was a loving wife to James Meyer, with whom she celebrated 56 wonderful years of marriage.  Together, they raised four children: Tricia Nunez (Gus), Daniel Meyer (Kristin), Rebecca Clausen, and Ryan Meyer.  Bonnie's legacy lives on through her eight grandchildren: Isabel, Sabrina, Collin, Skylar, Teagan, Jennavive, Lorelei, and Daniela, each of whom brought her immense joy.

In her free time, Bonnie enjoyed gardening, where her green thumb brought beauty to her home and neighborhood.  She was also an avid baker, known for her delicious treats that brought family and friends together.  Crafting was another of her passions, with her creativity shining through in handmade gifts and decorations.  Bonnie particularly cherished the holidays, creating traditions that strengthened family bonds and filled their home with laughter and love.

Bonnie’s warmth, kindness, and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The family will be forever grateful to the two caregivers, Rhonda and Crystal, who Bonnie loved and who loved her in return.

A private graveside service in Fort Hill Cemetery, will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn.
