Brenda L. (Rucker) Bell

Brenda Louise Bell, 71 of Port Byron passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023 in Geneva General Hospital. Born in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late James T. Rucker and Olive Brown Wood. She was a High School graduate of Knoxville, TN School, member of the Black Oak Baptist Church in Knoxville and also an honorary member of the Cornerstone Church of San Antonio. After moving to the area, Brenda was employed as the Kitchen Manager for Westminster Manor. 

She is survived by her loving husband Philip Bell Sr.; daughters Constance Vermillion (John), Samantha Bailey (Sean) and Kayla Rogers (Stephen); two sons William Whitfield and Philip Bell Jr. (Kallie); stepfather William Wood; sisters Denise Wells and Debra Wood; brother James T. Rucker Jr. (Kara); twenty-one grandchildren; and twenty-five great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Christina Louise Vermillion. 

A graveside service in Throopsville Rural Cemetery, will be held in the spring. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport.
