Carl Bobbett Obituary

Carl E. Bobbett, 94, of Fosterville Road, Port Byron, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, after a short illness at the VA Hospital, Syracuse. He was born on December 11, 1929, son of the late Clarence and Lorayne Beach Bobbett of Auburn. Carl was married on October 12, 1950, to the former Cecilia Dalesio, and together celebrated 67 years together. Carl attended Port Byron High School where he played basketball and football. He served for four years in the US Army and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska and Greenville, SC and has been a proud member of the Port Byron American Legion for 73 years.

In 1987, Carl retired from AT&T after 25 years. His love of the outdoors included trap shooting, hunting, fishing, and spending time on his beloved farm on Fosterville Road. Summers were spent at camp on Owasco Lake and Parham, Ontario. For many years, he and Cecilia enjoyed attending SU basketball games.

In addition to his parents, and his loving wife Cecilia, Carl was predeceased by his brothers Clarence and Eugene. He is survived by his sister-in-law Mary Bartlett; brother-in-law Frank Dalesio (Jean); nieces and nephews; neighbors; and friends. His love of family, faith and his passion for the outdoors will always be remembered.

Many thanks to the family, neighbors and friends that assisted Carl in the last few years.
