Carl B Scanlon

Carl B. Scanlon, 75, of Port Byron, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. Mr. Scanlon was born in Syracuse on November 5, 1950, to the late Walter and Janet Markland Scanlon. 

Carl served in the United States Army and retired from Welch Allyn where he was a tool maker. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed playing golf. Carl was a talented wood worker; he loved working with his hands as well as working with numbers. 

Carl is survived by his loving wife Judy Stott Scanlon; his sons David, Jason (Patty); his stepson Bob (Michelle); daughter-in-law Shelly; his brother Ronald (Linda); his sister-in-law Shelia; several grandchildren and nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Carl was predeceased by his stepson Brian, and his siblings, Francis, Judy and Michael. 

Services will be held privately for the family.
