Carl M. Tanner

Carl M. Tanner, 76 of Port Byron, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. One of thirteen children, he was born January 28, 1949 in Port Byron, the son of the late Edward and Helen Davis Tanner. Carl was an Army Veteran and owned and operated his own construction business. He enjoyed being a homebody, keep his garage clean and taking care of the yard work. Above all else, Carl loved spending time with his family, children and great grandchildren. 

Together for over 55 years, Carl is survived by his loving wife Deborah Tanner; his children, Rebecca Tanner, Mariah Dann, and Carl Tanner (Lisa Montone); sister Darlene Kensinger; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Carl is predeceased by one daughter Laura Tanner; and eleven siblings. 

There are no services scheduled at this time. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home, Weedsport.
