Charles French Jr. Obituary

Charles E.  French Jr., "Big Chuck" 70, of Auburn, passed away Monday June 9, 2025. Mr. French was born in Auburn on June 14, 1954, to the late Charles Sr. and Betty J. Burghdorf French.

Big Chuck was an avid NASCAR fan. He loved to go to Watkins Glen in the summer to watch the race and try to get a glimpse into "Winners Circle." Chuck enjoyed listening to music and going to concerts. He had a love for collecting his hats, sunglasses and CDs. He has always loved watching basketball and played while he was younger. Many nights were spent at the YMCA playing ball. Chuck was known for his jokes and his infamous pranks. No one was safe from being "picked on" by him.

Charles is survived by his wife, Lynnette French; his children, Allie French, Nicole (Aaron) Wrench, Matthew French and Zach (Allison) French; his grandchildren, Aiden and Chance; his siblings David French and Marilyn Love; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Chuck was predeceased by his daughter, Alaina and his siblings, Cynthia LaFleur, Ronald French and Richard French.

Some of his favorite sayings that show his sense of humor include: " We'll see what develops," "Imagine it in your minds eye," and "You report to ME!"

Services will be held privately for the family.
