Claire K. Varacalli

Claire K. Varacalli, 95 passed away Monday, December 1, 2025, in the Commons on St. Anthony. Born October 20, 1930, in Manhattan, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Laue Kirby and was formerly a resident of New York City, Nanuet, NY, Hamlin, PA and Camillus, prior to moving to the area. Claire was employed and retired as an Executive Assistant with Grant Hardware of Nyack, NY. She and her late husband Joseph loved to travel, including trips to Europe, Italy and Spain, to name a few. Claire was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and a tremendous cook. She also had a beautiful voice and enjoyed participating in plays such as "Meet me in St. Louis" and "Guys and Dolls."

She is survived by her daughter Claudia Varacalli-Tompkins; son Kirby Varacalli; three grandchildren Brian Joseph Tompkins, Michael Varacalli and Meghan Varacalli-Demenoci; six great grandchildren Eliza Pallo Tompkins, Reilly Varacalli, Katelyn Varacalli, Scarlet Demenoci, Colin Demenoci and Adam Demenoci; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Claire is predeceased by her husband Joseph Varacalli. 

Friends are invited to join the family for a Memorial Service to be offered Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00 am in the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn.
