Daniel H Harris

Daniel H. Harris, 58, of Auburn, passed away, Friday, September 12, 2025, at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse. Mr. Harris was born in Auburn, NY on October 27, 1966, to the late Arthur J. Horr and Katherine Harris. Daniel was a crop farmer; he owned and operated D&S Harris Farm with his late wife Shawn. For years he also drove truck for Cook Forage LLC. Daniel lived for farming; when he wasn't farming, he enjoyed snowmobiling, hiking and camping in the Adirondacks, where him and Shawn owned a cabin. You could always count on seeing Daniel with a Coca-Cola in his hand. He was fortunate enough to have the same group of friends for over 30 years; they were family to him. 

Daniel is survived by his “part-time” kids (as he called them), Mayla Rose and James Rose; his significant other, Melissa Barney; his niece Sarah; his nephews, Dakota, Dawson and Evan; and many friends, especially among the farming community.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, September 17th from 10am to noon at White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Dr. Weedsport. A funeral service will immediately follow at noon in the funeral home. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Throop.
