David R. Cronk, 63 of Weedsport passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024 in Auburn Community Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Auburn on August 3, 1961, he was the son of the late Robert G. and Anne Weddigen Cronk. A graduate of Weedsport High School, he retired as a Sergeant from Cayuga Correctional Facility in Moravia and worked previously in the Auburn and Butler prisons. Following his retirement, David was a bus driver for the Jordan Elbridge School District. A true outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. David was a most generous soul, and without a doubt, the most fun he had was the time spent with his loving grandchildren and family.
David is survived by his loving wife, Karen Kreydatus Cronk; daughters Kyle Menard (Justin) and Sara Landes (Panos); sons Jordan Cronk (Tomo) and Ryan Landes (Michelle); two sisters Patricia Perry (David) and Julie Adams (Richard); six grandchildren Lori, Emma, Maple, Kayla, Evan and Andrew; several loving nieces and nephews and special friends that are like family.
In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth R. Melvin and Robert K. Cronk and a sister, Barbara Melvin Martino.
Calling hours will be conducted Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 12 Noon to 2:00 pm in the White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport.
