David S. Dolph, 70 of Weedsport, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. Dave was born in Auburn, NY on November 6, 1955, to the late Elvin and Kathleen Smith Dolph. Dave proudly served our country with the United States Army from 1975-1979. After 30+ years of dedicated employment as a mechanic, David retired from the New York State Department of Transportation.
Dave was an outdoors man; he loved to hunt, fish and could fix just about anything. He was an avid NASCAR and Baltimore Orioles fan. He was happiest spending time with his family. If you knew Dave, you could bet on the fact he had a nickname for you.
Dave is survived by his wife Gwen Henderson Dolph; his sons, Jesse (Shantel) and Matthew (Sarah); grandchildren, Sadie, Wyatt, Claire, and Grayson; brothers Daniel (Darlene) and Dale (Lafi); along with several nieces and nephews. He also had 4 step-children,10 step-grandchildren and extended family including his brothers-in-law and sisters-in law.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 1-4 pm at White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Dr. Weedsport. A funeral service will be held at 10am, Monday, November 10, 2025. Burial to follow in Weedsport Rural Cemetery.
