David Zobkiw, 84, of Auburn, passed away Sunday May 19, 2024, in the Commons on St. Anthony. He was born in Auburn on July 9, 1939 son of the late Joseph and Josephine Millas Zobkiw.
David was a kind, generous, and gentle man. He possessed a witty and dry sense of humor that was identifiably his. He spent his professional life as a patent attorney working for corporations in and around the area, as well as in Washington, DC. David had a love for collecting rocks and minerals and was an active member in a number of local clubs and organizations.
David had a number of lifelong friends, both from the area and afar, who were all very dear to him. One of his earliest and closest friends has been just that for 71 years. David's work friends and their memorable lunches were something he often talked about and remembered fondly. His friends (and family) in Auburn and on the lake were so greatly appreciated by him throughout the years. Remember him fondly for that is how he thought of you.
He is survived by his nephew Joe Zobkiw; nieces Grace and Hannah; cousins John "Jack" Zobkiw, Joe Zobkiw, and several other distant relatives. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his younger brother Richard.
Calling hours for David will be conducted Friday, May 24, 2024 from 10 to 12pm in the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn. A funeral service will immediately follow at Noon in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
