Dennis J. Edwards

Dennis J. Edwards, 71 of Manchester, NY passed away on September 23, 2023, at his home. Born in Springville NY on April 22, 1952, Dennis was the son of the late James and Marilyn (Rogers) Edwards. He was previously employed with Pactiv Evergreen Inc. in Canandaigua, until his retirement in December 2019. Dennis was a lover of his family & friends, nature, Nascar, the Steelers, concerts, car shows and life! He was an amateur photographer, always taking photos of peoples’ important moments and making sure they had a copy and the most beautiful sunsets wherever he happened upon them. He loved to watch his birds and frequently took drives to see what he could see. Always with a “hello smiley,” he would ease into your heart. He gave time to people that he valued and never gave up. In his later years, he mastered making cherry pies and was continuously on an adventure. While he did not like being the center of attention, he enjoyed the occasional social event of a wedding, or potluck but preferred to have a small group or one on one to visit.

Dennis is survived by his son and daughter and their families; his goddaughter, Lindsey (Greg Weller) Gerstenslager; his grandson, Chase Weller; his sister, Debbie Fitzsimmons and many close family members and friends. (Framily) In addition to his parents, Dennis was predeceased by his brother, Greg Edwards.

Family and friends are welcome to join together on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Trailside Lodge at Letchworth State Park at 12:00 Noon to celebrate Dennis' life.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Dennis to Wounded Warriors as he supported this organization for many years and his local fellow veterans.
