In Loving Memory of Diane M. Hoy

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Diane M. Hoy of Aurora, NY, announces her passing on March 22, 2025, at the age of 81.

Diane was born on October 28, 1943, in Utica, NY, to the late Walter and Gladys Niemczyk Lewandrowski, and was also raised by her stepfather, the late Raymond Wilbur. She was the devoted wife of the late Raymond Arthur Hoy, who passed away in 2013.

Diane was a passionate traveler, dedicated gardener, and devoted church volunteer. During her time in Apopka, Florida, she was actively involved with St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, where she organized food drives and community events. Her deep love for animals, especially dogs, was evident to all who knew her as she was rarely seen without a faithful companion (or two) by her side. She leaves behind her beloved dog, Abby, who brought her immense joy and comfort.

She is survived by her loving brothers: Dennis (Diane) Wilbur of Sharon, MA; Dale (Bonnie) Zdziebko of Rome, NY; Donald Wilbur of Fonda, NY; and David (Billee) Wilbur of Aurora, NY. Diane was a devoted aunt to Stacy Wilbur, Kelly Wilbur, Matthew Zdziebko, Andrew Zdziebko, Joshua Wilbur, and Daniel Wilbur.

In addition to her parents and husband, Diane was predeceased by her brother Richard (1969).

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, April 5th, from 10:00–11:00 AM at White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn, NY. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with interment at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery, 8695 State Route 90, King Ferry, NY.
