Donald E. Langtry, 86, of Moravia, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Crouse Hospital. Don was born in Ogdensburg, NY on September 10, 1937, to David and Marjorie Langtry. Don spent many years as a truck driver for both Hendricks Oil and Agway. In his retirement, he was a crossing guard for Moravia School District. Don loved flowers; was an avid reader; and enjoyed golfing, coin collecting, and gardening. He coached little league for years while his children were young. Nothing compared to the love he had for his family. Spending time with his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, were the moments he cherished the most.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Patricia Burns Langtry; his children, Donald (Tammy), Scott (Marianne), Benita (Timothy) Powers, Jacqueline Wallon, David (Barbara), Douglas (Lauren), Steven (Suzanne), and Jennifer (Fran) Satalin; twenty-six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren with two more on the way; his brother, Robert Langtry; and close friends, Phil and Vinnie Gordon.
In addition to his parents, Donald was predeceased by his siblings, Diann Marsh, Richard Langtry, and Judy Phillips; and his son-in-law, Alan Wallon.
Calling hours will be held Monday, April 1, 2024, from 10-11:45am with a memorial mass to follow at noon, all in St. Patrick's Church, 51 Grove St., Moravia, NY. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., Auburn.
