Dorothy J. Reeve, 89, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024, at Auburn Community Hospital. Born in Auburn on June 17, 1935, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Floyd and June (Alnutt) Gower. She was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker while her children were young. Once her children were grown, she and her husband, Robert, moved and spent many years living in the Phoenix area. It was there she was employed with the Hallmark Company as a greeting card display manager. This was a position she excelled in and truly enjoyed. Dorothy also was an assistant on a special needs school bus. She was a caretaker for many, including children, friends in need and family members. She had a kind and caring spirit, always wanting and willing to help others. Upon her and her husband's retirement, they were excited to travel the country in their motorhome.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Robert Reeve, Patty (Joe) O'Mara, Raymond Reeve, Roger (Wendy) Reeve and Pamela (Joe) Adame; her sister, Shirley Gower; her brother, Jay Gower; her seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Robert B. Reeve and her siblings, Charles Gower Leonard Gower, Frederick Gower and Herbert Gower. At Dorothy's request, there will be no services.
