Edward F Gauthier

Edward F. Gauthier, 71, of Auburn passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Auburn Community Hospital. Mr. Gauthier was born in Auburn NY on October 12, 1949 to the late Edward A. and Rosemary Defonde Gauthier. 

Edward attended St. Francis Elementary and then went on to graduate from from Central High School and retired from P&C Foods, Auburn. After his retirement from P&C Foods, Mr. Gauthier became an active advocate for the disabled in Auburn and was involved with  Options for Independent Living. He helped to identify and resolve accessibility issues faced by the disabled in the local community.  He had a love of traveling and thoroughly enjoyed trying new restaurants. 

Edward was a devoted husband, loving father, and adoring grandfather.  He was predeceased by his parents as well as his sister Dolores Gauthier Danforth.  Ed is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 52 years Kathy Garrigan Gauthier; his daughters, Aimee Gauthier and Beth Gauthier Turner (Justin) ; his grandson, Alexander Gauthier; his granddaughter, Coral Turner; his brother-in-law; Scott (Barb) Garrigan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. 
Donations in memory of Edward  may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
