Elaine B. (Moody) George

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Wife, Mother, and NeeNee, Elaine B. George on January 7, 2026 at Auburn Community Hospital, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Elaine was born July 22, 1970 in Syracuse, NY. She was the daughter of Barbara (Androsko) Moody and the late Blaine Moody. She was a lifelong resident of Auburn, NY and graduated from Auburn High School, Class of 1988 followed by cosmetology school in Binghamton, NY. After many years in cosmetology and the service industry, she went on to earn her Telecommunications Degree from Cayuga Community College. She graduated from CCC in 1999, and went on to be employed by The Pennysaver, Time Warner Cable, and Cayuga Savings Bank where she subsequently began her banking career. After many years in banking, she took on her most cherished role as a stay at home NeeNee. 

Elaine was a lover of all things Star Wars and FRIENDS. And of course, Manatees, 80’s Rock and Rick Springfield. She loved the Theatre, especially when helping backstage for whatever production Joe was in. She loved taking people to NYC to see anything on Broadway. But her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 28 years Timothy George, her children Joseph Prue, Amy (Larry) Nuchesi, TJ (Shelly) George, Kristin (Michael) Weed, and Laurie Blasbichler. Her mother, Barbara Moody.  Her sisters, Karen Moody, Michelle (John) Perry, Christy (George) Smith. Her brother Jeff (Terri) Spears. Her sister-in-law, Amy Spears. Her father-in-law, Richard Bozek. Her brother-in-law Michael Bozek. Her beloved grandchildren, Mason and Luke George, Landon, Logan and Brynlee Blasbichler, Harrison and Nicholas Nuchesi, Thomas Weed and Melissa Bell. Her aunt, Virginia Androsko. And several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her very special friends, Christine Barbagallo, Christine Donovan and Pattie Harkness, who were more like sisters to her. And her very special buddies, Dutch and Prin. 

Elaine was preceded in death by her father Blaine Moody, and her brother Andy Spears. 

Calling Hours will be conducted Friday January 23, 2026 from 3:00 to 5:00pm in the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn.
