Ella May Shanahan

Ella May Shanahan, 80, of Auburn passed away on June 29, 2025. Born on May 20, 1945, Ella was a lifelong resident of Auburn. She was the chief cook for Meals on Wheels from 1980 until her retirement in 2010.

Ella is survived by her children, Kelly Shanahan and Charles (Jessica) Shanahan; her grandchildren, Kelly and Riley and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Ella was predeceased by her loving husband, James Shanahan and her siblings, Rosie Sloan, Dorothy Malone, Jean Coleman, Carol Vezzose, James Delapp and Lloyd Delapp.

Calling hours will be held on July 2nd from 6pm - 8pm in White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11am in St. Hyacinths Church, Auburn. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Auburn.
