Felicia A. Chernega

Felicia A. Chernega, 39, of Wolcott, passed away unexpectedly on November 14, 2023. Born in Rochester NY on December 13, 1983, Felicia was the daughter of the late Michael Hayes and Brenda Smith. Felicia was a graduate of Port Byron High School, Class of 2002, and Marion S. Whelan School of Nursing in 2012. Felicia was a loving mother, sister, friend, and Nurse. She was employed as an LPN with The Commons on St. Anthony. Felicia loved her family, especially the time she was able to be with her children. Felicia enjoyed camping and planning special events.

Felicia is survived by her loving husband, Frank Chernega; her beloved children, Emily and Frankie Chernega; her stepfather, Jeffrey Smith; her siblings, Kara (Keith) Roe and Michael (Ashley) Hayes, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Michael Hayes and Brenda Smith, Felicia was predeceased by her brother, Eric Urwin, and Grandma, Patricia Watson.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 27th from 1pm - 3pm in White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport NY. A memorial service will immediately follow at 3pm in the funeral home.

Felicia will be laid to rest in the spring in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Port Byron.
