Florence V. Salvatore, 94 of Port Byron passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024, in her home. She was born in Hyattsville, MD on November 3, 1929, to the late Lester Sr. and Maggie Bennett Leizear. Mrs. Salvatore moved to New York as a child and graduated from Unadilla Central School in 1947 and continued her education, attending Albany School of Business. Early on, she waited tables for many local restaurants in the area and, prior to her retirement, she was the rental manager for Northbrook Court Apartments for many years.
Florence is survived by one sister Marg Harris; five children Lee Bryden, Susan Jetty, Joel Bucklin, Nancy (Ike) Brewer and Keith Bucklin; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Frank Salvatore Jr. in 2018; two brothers Duke and John Leizear; two sisters Martha Harden and Betty; baby granddaughter Diedra; and a great granddaughter.
Friends are invited to join the family for a graveside service 11am, Tuesday, February 20, 2024, in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Auburn (Gate 5 off of Sandbeach Rd.). Calling hours for Florence will be conducted Monday, from 3 to 7pm in the White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport.
Florence was a very loving and caring person and will be truly missed by her family and friends.
