Gregory P. Sawyer

Gregory P. Sawyer, of 24 Holley Street, Auburn passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024 in the Commons on St. Anthony. Born February 8, 1948, the son of the late John Lester and Alvera Rising Sawyer, Greg was a lifelong resident of Auburn, and a graduate of Central High School. He enjoyed taking walks, playing chess, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Greg loved attending the Auburn Doubledays Baseball games and Emerson Park. Greg also volunteered as a bell ringer for several years with the Salvation Army. A devoted, loving husband of 43 years, he lost his wife Mary Davis Sawyer in 2018.

He is survived by his loving daughter Althea Suslik; grandchildren John, Ben and Gina; and one brother Steven Sawyer (Renee).

In addition to his parents and wife, Greg was predeceased by one brother Philip Sawyer; and son-in-law David Suslik. 

At the family's request, there are no services at this time. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn.
