Helen L. Hotaling, 90, of Elbridge, passed away on March 27, 2025, at The Commons on St. Anthony. Born in Genoa on April 14, 1934, Helen was the daughter of the late Vernon B. King and Alice King Atwater. She married her husband Roy, on September 30, 1951, and they enjoyed 67 years of marriage before his passing in 2018. In her early years, Helen was employed with both Auburn and Union Springs School Districts, Dunn & McCarthy, Tessy Plastics and her first job was with E.W. Edwards and Son of Syracuse. After having children, Helen stayed home to care for them. Spending time with family brought her much joy and happiness.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Linda (Brian) Butler of NC and Alice (Douglas) Tarby of Auburn; her son, Ralph Hotaling of Elbridge; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her loving husband, Roy Hotaling, her son, Richard Hotaling in 2021; her stepfather, Ralph Atwater; her sisters, Dora Fleszar, Laverne Gonyea and Virginia King; and her brothers, Francis King, Robert King and David King.
Services for Helen will be held privately with burial in Fleming Rural Cemetery.
