Helene R. (Wise) Gamba

Helene Wise Gamba passed away peacefully at Oxford VA Home in Oxford NY on October 21, 2023. Helene was born in Scranton, PA on May 29, 1937, daughter of the late William Wise and Rose Costello Wise Tucker.

Helene was predeceased by her husband, John Gamba; her daughter, Patricia Garlock; her brother, Joe Wise and son in law, Kevin Stott.

She was a self-employed hairdresser, owning her own shop for many years prior to her retirement.

Helene is survived by daughters, Kathleen (David) Yantch and Roseanne Stott; her son, Thomas (Laurie) Gamba; her 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Oxford VA Home for the loving care they provided to their mother.

Calling hours for Helene will be held on Thursday, October 26th from 4pm - 7pm in White Chapel Funeral Home Inc, 197 South Street, Auburn NY. A memorial service will follow at 7pm in the funeral home. A committal service will be held Friday at Soule Cemetery at 11am.
