Jane P Green

Jane P. Green, 83, of West Lake Rd., passed away Monday, May 1, 2023, at Auburn Community Hospital. Mrs. Green was born in New Jersey on November 2, 1939, to the late Everett and Elizabeth (Harris) Black. Jane worked in retail for many years, including Nolan’s Shoe Store.  She enjoyed knitting and birdwatching. Above all she loved and cherished the time she spent with her family. 

 Jane is survived by her children, Michele (Stephen) VanOrman, Stephen (Deanna) Green, Mark (Maria) Green; Laurie (Wayne) Pierleoni, Tammy Green with Tony Martellaro, and her grandchildren, Matthew (Molly) VanOrman, Philip (Kara) VanOrman, Gregory (Jennifer) Green, Brian (Katy) Green, Stephanie Green, Scott Green, Joseph (Lindsey) Gagliano, Mark (Katie) Green and  Ashley (Mike) Crosby,  Danielle (Nick) and Jamie, her great grandchildren, Christian, Keegan, Mason, Michael, Alysa, Kayla, Maya, Gregory Jr., Isabella, Maddie, Ellie J., Joey, Evelyn, Alayha, Hunter, Wes, one on the way in September; Vinny, Luca, Nora and her siblings, Bruce (Pat) Black, Kathy Leaf, and Joyce Newcomb; two very special friends, Barbara Conine and Betty Nolan and also Rick and Katie Liccion.

 In addition to her parents, Jane was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Robert E. Green in 2010; and her siblings Larry Black and Peggy (Black).

 Visitation will be held at White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St., Auburn on Friday, May 5th from 12-2pm with a service to immediately follow at 2pm. 

 Burial will be with immediate family following the service at Lakeview Cemetery, Fleming.

 In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane’s memory may be made to Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Cayuga County Meals on Wheels.
